Make Your Own Hot Cocoa Elixir Recipe

It's so simple & nourishing to make your own Hot Cocoa Elixirs at home!


Ingredients: (1 serving)
•2 tablespoons raw, organic cacao powder
•2 tablespoons organic Balinese Coconut Palm Crystals Sugar 
•1/2 teaspoon Organic Reishi mushroom powder

Fill a mug with warm water or your choice of nut/seed milk & mix in all ingredients until well mixed. Sip, relax & enjoy!

Strawberry Pumpkin Protein Smoothie Recipe

Strawberry Pumpkin Seed Smoothie (raw, vegan, gluten and soy free) Serves 1
Ingredients:
•1 frozen banana
•1 cup frozen strawberries
•3/4 cup homemade almond milk using a Natural Zing nut milk bags & almonds
•2 scoops Natural Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder
•1 handful greens (we used baby spinach)
•1 tsp raw, organic cinnamon

Blend all ingredients on high until rich & creamy. You may need to add a bit more milk if you don’t have a high speed blender! Top with fresh strawberries or raw, organic bee pollen, & serve.

Spicy & Cheesy Kale Chip Recipe

Spicy and Cheesy Kale Chips -This recipe makes kale chips that are covered in a thick spicy/cheesy sauce and perfectly crispy. They’re seriously amazing!

Ingredients:

•1 1/2 bunches of kale, washed, dried, stems removed and torn into medium sized pieces
•1 cup raw, organic cashews, soaked for 2 hours
•2-3 T lemon juice using our handheld citrus juicer
•2 T nutritional yeast flakes
•1/4 cup red bell pepper
•1 t ground chipotle chili pepper
•1/2 t of Pink Himalayan crystal salt 
•pinch of raw, organic cayenne pepper (to taste)
Preparation: Add all ingredients except the kale to a high powered blender or food processor. Process until you get a smooth consistency. Massage sauce onto kale with hands. Dehydrate at 115° until crispy. (8-12 hours) Try not to eat the whole batch in 1 sitting!

Matcha Vanilla Smoothie Recipe

Yield: 3 small smoothies, as pictured (or 2 larger ones)Serving Size: 2-3

Ingredients:
•2 bananas, frozen
•1 cup homemade almond milk
Liquid Jade powdered Matcha Green Tea - a few teaspoons to a few tablespoons depending on your your taste.
raw, organic Vanilla bean - a tiny scrape from about 1-inch of the pod
a few handfuls of ice
Raw, Organic Honey, Raw,Organic, Agave, or natural sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions:
Blend everything together. Taste & adjust to your liking. Add some sweetener if you wish.

Ginger & Caramel Date Doughnuts with Coconut Glaze

Ingredients
•1/2 cup raw, organic cashew flour
•1/4 cup raw, organic sprouted flax powder
•3 TBSP raw, organic chia seeds
•½ cup water
•7 raw, organic dates
•2 TBSP lemon zest
•about 1 TBSP grated ginger (or to taste)
•1 tsp raw, organic turmeric

For the frosting:•1 cup raw, organic shredded coconut
•2 TBSP raw, organic virgin coconut oil, melted
•2 TBSP natural liquid sweetener of choice
•Toppings: raw, organic cacao nibs and grated raw, organic almonds

Methods/steps:
1) Mix the flax seed powder with the water and let sit for 1-2 minutes until it thickens.
2) Mix cashew flour with chia seeds, lemon zest, ginger and turmeric.
3) Add the flax seed water mix to the rest of the ingredients and mix by hand until you have a sticky ‘dough’.
4) Roll pieces of dough into balls, slightly flatten them then make a hole in the middle.
5) Refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes before frosting.
6) To make the frosting add all the ingredients to a blender & blend up until creamy and soft.
7) Refrigerate the frosting for about 10-15 minutes to firm up.
8) Frost the doughnuts & sprinkle with toppings.

Note: Best served chilled.

Nourishing Warm Drink Recipes


Homemade Hot Chocolate Recipe (Dairy/Refined Sugar Free)
When it gets cold outside, there is nothing better than snuggling up with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Yummy treats like hot chocolate are often synonymous with drinking dairy & sugar, which may leave you feeling less than awesome. Natural Zing has come up with this super rich, easy to make delicious healthy hot chocolate recipe that is refined sugar & dairy free. We hope you love it!

Ingredients: Serves 2
•2-3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (you can also use coconut milk for an extra rich drink)
•3 tbsp raw, organic cacao or organic carob powder
•1 tsp raw, organic cinnamon powder
•3 tbsp organic coconut sugar or coconut nectar
•pinch Himalayan Pink crystal salt

Directions: Place all ingredients in a medium sauce pot and bring to a

boil over medium high heat, stirring often (use a thermometer to make sure you keep it under 118 if you're raw). Reduce heat to medium low and cook for 4-5 minutes. You can drink as is, or you can strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or nut milk bag for an even smoother treat!

Some variation ideas:
•Add 1/2 tsp peppermint extract to the pot for a mint hot chocolate.
•Add 3-4 slices of fresh ginger root for a chocolate gingerbread hot chocolate.
•Add a pinch or two of raw, organic cayenne pepper for a Mexican hot chocolate.
•Add in some mushrooms like reishi powder for a superfood infused drink.

Sweet Cinnamon Hazelnut Drink
This drink is kissed with raw honey & cinnamon & fabulous! It requires a little bit of extra work to make the hazelnut milk but it's well worth it!

2 C Hazelnut Milk (see recipe below)
1 T Raw, organic Honey (can add more if you like it sweeter)
1/2 t. raw, organic Cinnamon powder

Mix all ingredients together, warm in dehydrator or over double boiler. You can use a kitchen thermometer to make sure you keep the temp under 118 for a truly raw drink.

For the Hazelnut Milk:1 C raw, organic Hazelnuts (soaked for 3 hours)
3 C Water

Place hazelnuts and water in your Vitamix blender or high powered blender. Blend very well. Strain through a nutmilk bag.
