Ingredients
- *Organic Garbanzo Sprouting Beans 1 cup (sprouted = 1.5 cups)
*Lemon Juice, .5 cup (Juice of two lemons - our citrus juicer works great for this)
*Water, 1 cup (8 fl oz) - (add more if creamy hummus is desired)
*Garlic, 4 cloves (use our garlic press for faster hummus)
*Raw, Organic Tahini, 2 tbsp
*Raw, Organic Sunflower Seeds, hulled, 1 oz
*Paprika, 1 pinch
*Cumin (ground), .25 tsp (2 pinches)
*Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt, 1 tsp.
- *Raw crackers for serving
Directions
To sprout the Garbanzo beans - Soak 1 cup of dried chickpeas for 24
hours. Drain, rinse and place in a sprouter (either an Automatic Sprouter or Mason Jar with Sprouting Screen). Rinse and drain twice a day for 2-3 days or until
the beans have 1/2 inch sprouts.*
Rinse beans, drain & place in a food processor with the rest of ingredients & process for 3-5 minutes. Check the consistency, if you want it thinner add more water at this point. Serve with your favorite raw crackers, carrots/celery sticks, or use inside your favorite wrap.
