Sprout Recipes for Earth Month!

Celebrate Earth month by growing & sprouting your own sprouts! We sell an array of sprouting seeds, sprouting equipment & books to help you! Sprouts are fun & easy to grow, very inexpensive, & great added to your favorite juices, salads & recipes. Check out some of our favorite sprout recipes below...



Sprout Cereal - we love this with buckwheat groats, raw oats, & quinoa. Ingredients:

Ingredients:
*Sprouts
*Your favorite nut or coconut milk (to taste)
*Raw Honey or Coconut Nectar, or Agave Nectar
*Raw, Organic Fruit (try fresh berries or dried work great as well! We love goji & incan berries with this!)
*Raw, Organic Nuts (almond pieces are great!)
*Cacao Nibs
*Hemp Seeds
Etc.

Preparation : Put your favorite sprouts in a bowl. Add your favorite milk, natural sweetener, fruits, cacao, nuts, seeds, etc. Mix up. Serve.

Sprout Hummus - delicious & super easy & fast to whip up!


Ingredients:
*1 cup raw, organic Sprouts (our garbanzo bean sprouts are great for this!)
*1 Tbs. raw, organic tahini
*1 Tbs. freshly squeezed lemon juice
*1 Tsp. raw, organic olive oil
*1 clove garlic (use our garlic press for easy preparation!)
*1 tsp. ground cumin
*1/2 tsp. salt
*1/2 tsp. aji amarillo pepper powder

Preparation: Mix all ingredients to desired consistency using a food processor.

Serve : Spread hummus on serving platter drizzle olive oil + sprinkle paprika over top. Slice cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, etc. and place around hummus. Or try rolling it up in your favorite veggie wrap!

Tip: Add Olive Oil, more Tahini or hot H2O for smoother hummus.

Curried Lentil Sprout Salad -  If this recipe doesn't prove that you can do anything with sprouts, I don't know what will.

Ingredients:
*1 cup raw, organic Lentil Sprouts
*1/2 cup chopped parsley
*1/4 cup vegannaise
*2 Tbs. raw tomato concentrate
*2 Tbs. raw, organic olive oil
*1/4 tsp. dill weed
*1/2 small red onion - diced
*1/2 - 1 Tbs. curry powder
*pinch of pink salt
*3-5 raw, organic sun dried tomatoes - diced

Preparation: Mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle diced tomato on top & serve. Serves two.



Tip: Use our ceramic knives to make chopping the herbs a breeze.


Herb Sprout Snack Mix - sprinkle on anything & everything. Makes a great snack or flavorful addition to other recipes.

Ingredients: (Depending on your taste this amount will cover 1 - 5 pounds of sprouts. Use your favorites, whether it's our crunchy protein powerhouse mix )

1 Tbs. each:
*ground oregano
*ground basil
*ground thyme

1 tsp. each:
*Himalayan Pink Salt
*Aji amarillo pepper powder
*garlic powder
*onion powder
*ground rosemary
*ground marjoram

*Raw, Organic Olive Oil
*Nutritional Yeast (to taste)

Preparation: Mix all ingredients together. For each pound of sprouts add: 1 tsp. olive oil. Sprinkle nutritional yeast on top. Serve.


Tip: Try adding raw, organic hemp seeds or our raw, organic sproutable almonds for extra flavor!
